Shriya Saran role in the movie Andhadhun’s Telugu remake, to be negative

Actress Shriya Saran to play negative role in Telugu remake of Andhadhun. Shriya Saran made her film debut in 2001 with the Telugu film ‘Ishtam’. Shriya, who has proved her mettle, has played various roles in her South Indian movies.

If a leading news portal is believed, Shriya Saran is likely to play the negative role in the Telugu remake of ‘Andhadhun’ starring Nithiin. Shriya Saran has been roped in by director Merlapaka Gandhi to portray Tabu’s character from the original. While Shriya Saran will play the role of Tabu. According to reports, the remake rights of Hindi Andhadhun were bought for Rs 3.5 crore by Nithiin’s home production.

If these rumours turn out to be true, it would be a quite challenging role for Shriya Saran. Tabu’s character Simi in the original movie was appreciated by critics as well as the masses. Buzz has it that South Siren Nayanthara was approached for the role, but they couldn’t finalise her as she demanded a hefty amount. The reports further added that Ileana D’Cruz, Ramya Krishnan, Shilpa Shetty and others were also considered for Tabu’s character in the remake. South Indian star Nithiin will play the role of Ayushmann Khurrana.

Shriya Sara will next be seen playing a cameo in SS Rajamouli’s RRR. Shriya Saran is paired opposite Ajay Devgn in Rajamouli’s directorial venture RRR.
