Butter Chicken Recipe
Butter Chicken is easy to make at home dish with creamy curry. The ingredients required are simple, equipment needed is only a pan. Its full of incredible flavours . Aromatic golden chicken pieces in an incredible creamy curry sauce, this Butter Chicken recipe is one of the best you will try!
- ¼ pint Yogurt (Dahi)
- 2 ounces Almonds (Grounded)
- 1½ tbsp Chili Powder
- ¼ tbsp Bay Leaves
- ¼ tbsp Cinnamon (Grounded)
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala
- 4 Pods Cardamon (Green)
- 1 tbsp Ginger (Pulp)
- 1 tbsp Garlic (Pulp)
- 1 to 14 Ounce Tomatoes (Can, Chopped)
- Salt (Only a Dash)
- 2 Pounds Chicken (Skinless and cut into small cubes)
- 3 Ounces Butter
- 1tbsp Corn oil
- 2 pc Onions ( Thinly sliced)
- 2 Tbsp Coriander (Chopped)
- 4 tbsp Cream (Heavy Whipping Cream)
In a bowl, add in the yogurt, ground almonds, crushed bay leaves, powdered chili, ground cloves, powdered cinnamon, garam masala, pods of green cardamom, ginger pulp, and garlic pulp.
Stir well until evenly mixed.
Place the skillet set on the stove over medium to high heat
Add in the butter and corn oil.
Add in the thinly sliced onions.
Cook for 5 minutes or until soft.
Add in the chicken mix.
Cook for 10 mins or till chicken is cooked.
Add in half of the coriander and stir well to mix.
Add in the heavy whipping cream and stir gently to incorporate.
Allow to come to a boil.
Remove from heat
Garnish with the chopped coriander over the top.
Butter Chicken is best served with Basmati Rice or with Garlic Naan Bread. The best part about Butter chicken apart from the taste is that its very durable.
Butter chicken Gravy or curry can be prepared in advance. once its completely cooled down, you can store it in an airtight glass jar or container and refrigerate for up to 48 hours.
