Amyra Dastur is an actor who is working with Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. Amyra made her Bollywood Debut with the Manish Tiwary’s romantic drama Issaq, with Prateik Babbar playing the male opposite. Her first brush with the glamour industry happened when she was 16 years old. Amyra Dastur started out as a model. She did commercials for a lot of big toiletries brands like Clean and Clear, Dove. She played the lead female artist in Mukesh Bhatt’s sci-fiction thriller Mr. X alongside Emraan Hashmi. She also made her Tamil debut with Anegan alongside Dhanush.
Amyra Dastur started her Secondary education from Dhirubhai Ambani International School but dropped out to pursue acting. Dastur is Parsi and she speaks English, and Gujarati at home. She is currently studying in Mumbai’s HR College.
Amyra in her first international project, Kung Fu Yoga acted alongside Jackie Chan which released in India on 3 February 2017. She has also started filming for Oodi Oodi Uzhaikanum starring Santhanam.
Amyra Dastur is also part of director Akshat Verma’s next, titled Kaalakaandi, starring Saif Ali Khan. Amyra shot for a song in the film which is an upbeat dance number and has some fun lyrics. The track has been choreographed by Adil Malik of Kar Gayi Chul fame. she is all set for her Telugu debut in 2018 with Rajugadu opposite Raj Tarun and Manasuku Nachindi acting opposite Sundeep Kishan directed by Manjula Ghattamaneni.
A sequel of the hit 2016 series, The Trip features Amyra Dastur, Mallika Dua, Sapna Pabbi and Shweta Tripathi. As reported earlier, the shooting for The Trip 2began in Pondicherry in July, 2018. The Trip 2 will be launched in September and will reportedly feature a journey full of twists and turns, self-discovery and romance.
