Kaun Banega Crorepati 12 New Rules: As the latest edition of the popular gaming show Kaun Banega Crorepati is gearing up for its premier on September 28, it had to make some changes in its format to comply with the COVID-19 guidelines. The show will be telecasted on Sony TV at 9 pm from Monday-Friday. The producers of the popular gaming show KBC 12 had make changes to their format to make sure the safety of for their team, and host Amitabh Bachchan. One of the popular life line among the participants was Audience poll, where the studio audience would give their opinion on the question that has been asked in the stipulated time. However, keeping the social distancing guidelines in mind, this option has completely been ruled out by the makers and is replaced with another lifeline.
The KBC enthusiasts will remember that during the initial years of the show, there used to be a lifeline called Phone a Friend. The decision makers of the show have decided to change phone a friend to Video a friend, where the contestant can seek the help from a person of his choice over a video call. The time limit for this new lifeline has not been changed from the original time, 60 Seconds. All the other three lifeline remain the same.
The lifeline includes
- 50-50: The contestant can have two wrong options removed from the choices given to him or her.
- Ask The Expert: An expert present online will help the contestant
- Flip The Question: The contestant can change the question and have a new question instead.
The second change that the makers have brought into the format is having only eight people playing the fastest fingers first round. This has been done to avoid too many people on the sets during the game.
