NEET 2026 Registrations to begin soon, Advisory Issued for Interested Candidates

National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2026 Registration process is expected to begin soon now. National Testing Agency, NTA is expected to begin the registration and online application for the medical entrance examination by end of January or early February 2026. An important advisory has been issued by the testing agency for all interested candidates.

In the notice released by NTA on the official website nta.ac.in, interested candidates have been advised to update their aadhaar card/ UDID card as well as category certiciate before the online application process commences. This is important as from this tear all eligible candidates will be required to update their aadhaar details while filling the online application forms.

NEET 2026 Advisory

NTA has asked all candidates to make sure the three important documents – Aadhaar card, UDID card as well as category certificates (for SC/ST/EWS/ OBC-NCL) are updated.

All must get their Aadhaaar updated to reflect their correct Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph, Address and Biometric Information (wherever applicable). A mismatch in the aadhaar information from the information filled in the application form might create concerns.

Along with Aadhaar card, eligible candidates (persons with disabilities and/or reserved category) must ensured their respective UDID Card and/or Category certificates are renewed, updated and valid.

NEET 2026 Registration and Official website

NEET 2026 registration will be done from the official website neet.nta.nic.in. All interested candidates are advised to keep a check on the official website for latest updates and information. This year, the NEET application process is expected to begin by end of January 2026 or latest in first week of February 2026.

More than 22 lakh candidates had appeared for the medical entrance test conducted by NTA last year. The exam is expected to be conducted on first Sunday of May which is May 3, 2026, tentatively. The actual schedule along with other details will be released by NTA on the official website mentioned above.
