Union Public Service Commission, UPSC Civil Services Prelims Examination or UPSC Prelims 2026 registration will not begin today – January 14, 2026. The online application process has been delayed due to administrative reasons. Candidates who are interested are advised to note that the date has been delayed.
In the official notice released on upsc.gov.in, it has been informed that the date has been delayed. The new date for the release of the forms has not been announced as yet.
The notice released on the website upsc.gov.in states, “The Notification of Civil Services Examination, 2026 and Indian Forest Service Examination, 2026, scheduled to be notified on 14.01.2026, has now been postponed due to
administrative reasons and the same will be notified in due course”

UPSC Prelims 2026 Date
Candidates may please be informed that at present only the notification has been delayed. The date for the UPSC Prelims examination is still May 24, 2026.
The date, however, may also be changed. At present the calendar has not been revised and no notice has been released to signal change in date.
