The legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal, today kickstarted the shooting for his latest fil Drishyam 2 in Kochi with customary pooja. Taking to his social media accounts the actor shared the news as well as the pictures of the pooja ceremony. In the photos Mohan is seen lighting the lamp. Along with the photos he wrote

Drishyam 2 in reported to be shot indoors for the next 10 days and the actor Mohanlal will join the proceedings towards the end of the week. With the coronavirus pandemic playing havoc with the film industry, the makes have made it a point to ensure all COVID-19 precautions are in place during the shooting of Drishyam 2. The Steps also include compulsory testing of all cast as well as the crew members.
Director of Drishyam 2, Jeethu Joseph told The News Minute, “After Drishyam, there have always been questions about a sequel. Lalettan (Mohanlal) would ask me too. And I just didn’t know how to continue that story. Finally, one possibility became clearer than the others I thought of and the story of George Kutty’s family got written again.”
Mohanlal will play the role of George kutty in the sequel as well. However, the focus will be on the events that take place years after the high-profile case, that shook the small town in the state of Kerala.
