Minissha Lamba

Minissha Lamba is an Indian actress best known for her roles in Bachna Ae Haseeno and her debut film, the critically acclaimed Yahan. Minissha was born in Delhi to Kawel Lamba and Manju Lamba on January 18, 1985. She has a brother Karanbir Lamba and has done her schooling from Army Public School, Srinagar. She also studied in Chettinad Vidyashram School, Chennai  for one year at the beginning of her schooling. Alumnus of Delhi University’s Miranda College, she started modelling projects early on during her graduation days. She was part of various ad campaigns like LG, Sony, Cadbury, Hajmola, Airtel, Sunsilk etc. Minissha got her first acting break when she was spotted by Shooji Srcar during her Cadbury shoot. He approached her for his critically acclaimed Yahaan, that catapulted her to Bollywood. Minissha was offered multiple projects after the success of Yahan like Corporate, Rocky: The Rebel, Anthony Kaun Hai, Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd., Anamika, Shaurya and Dus Kahaniyaan. Minissha Lamba’s most successful film was Bachna Ae Haseeno opposite Ranbir Kapoor. As the first love interest of the actor, Minissha played the role of a love-struck romantic and a doting mother in the latter half of the movie. Minissha did Well Done Abba in 2011 but dropped out of acting scene soon after and did some forgettable roles in a few movies. She also participated in Bigg Boss Season 8. Minissha Lamba married Ryam Tham, a cousin of Pooja Bedi and a club owner in 2015. The couple recently divorced in August 2020.
