Mumbai police arrested Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Actor a theft case on Monday. The name of the actor is Miraj Vallabhdas Kapri. He was caught for chain-snatching in the city. The reason for his involvement in the crime is believed to be betting addiction. He got himself tangled in huge loans due to his betting addiction. Miraj then desperate measures to pay off the loan that included stealing things and chain snatching.
TMKOC actor Miraj has accumulated a loan liability of lakhs of rupees due to gambling. He thought that theft is the right way to earn some quick money to pay off the loans. The Mumbai police arrested Miraj Vallabhdas Kapri near the Rander Bhesan intersection after receiving a top from an informer.
As per the report published in News18, the police made a recovery of Rs 2,54,000 from the actor and his friend Vaibhav. They are believed to be involved with in the theft. The recovery includes three gold chains, two mobile phones, and a stolen bike
Both Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Arrested Actor Miraj and Vaibhav belong to Junagarh in Gujarat. They have confessed to the crime and maintained that they used to target old women walking alone on the streets to steal from them. Mira has worked in shows like Mere Angane Mein, and Thapki apart from TMKOC.
