Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE 10th 12th Results 2025 are eagerly awaited. The board issues important documents along with the results that are needed throughout the life by the student. Here is a quick look at the 3 important documents that CBSE will issue with results.
CBSE Result Date
Quick note – CBSE Result date is not announced. And No, CBSE 10th Results are not releasing today. Based on the level of pre-result activity completed, it is possible to suggest that 10th 12th Results may release by May 7. It can be earlier as well but not before May 5.
As for the declaration, it is important to know that CBSE Officials DO NOT share the date. Any publication ‘quoting’ CBSE officials is misleading the parents. Only official notification that will be released by CBSE will be when results are declared on cbse.gov.in.
CBSE 10th 12th Results 2025: Important Documents
- CBSE Marksheet: This contains the subject wise marks as well as grades scored by the students. The marksheet will contain the name of the child, the name of examination, child’s roll number as well as subject wise marks. Class 10 result CBSE marksheet will also contain students’ date of birth. Please note marksheet for class 10 is permissible as proof of birth. However, after 1990, along with class 10 marksheet or passing certificate, most official documentation also mandates a birth certificate.
- Passing Certificate: This is different from the marksheet. The passing certificate for Class 10 is All India Senior School Examination or AISSE and for Class 12 is All India Senior School Certificate Examination or AISSCE. This document does not contain marks.
- Migration Certificate: Migration certificate is now issued by CBSE to all students of Class 12. This is also issued to Class 10 students in case requested. Migration certificate is important in case a child of Class 10 wishes to change the board in Class 11. For Class 12 students, migration certificate is sometimes required for admission to various universities.
All these documents will be made available on DigiLocker by CBSE when results are declared. Parents can download these from Digilocker for ease of sharing.
CBSE will also issue and share printed copies of Marksheet and Passing Certificate as well as Migration certificates. These can be collected from registered schools.
