Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12th Physics Board Examination 2025 is conducted today across the country and the world. The examination is now over and first feedback is available. Initial feedback of CBSE 12th Physics Question Paper 2025 is mixed, with a few reports suggesting that it was easy to moderate.
A few experts who have had a chance to review the question paper have suggested that the paper was balanced. Experts pointed out that the competency-based questions might pose a bit of a challenge for students who depend on rote learning. Overall, however, teachers called the paper balanced and from NCERT.
As for the questions, teachers have also stated that the questions were largely theory and numerical based questions were far and few in all the three sets. Overall the paper was easy but may not be that scoring.

CBSE 12th Physics Exam Analysis: Student Reactions
Reactions from students were also mixed. Most of the students leaving the examination centre looked relieved and generally happy. A few faces, however, showed deep worry and concern. While this is expected for almost all the paper, the general reception of the paper is evident in the collective expression of students. Today the expression was more sombre than ecstatic.
“It was okay. Let’s see,” was the cryptic response of most of the students. Nidhi, a class 12 student looked pleased with the paper and was confident of scoring above 60 marks in the theory paper (out of a total of 70). A few students agreed that it was not difficult or lengthy but they were somehow not sure that they would get good marks.
Teachers said it was perhaps because of the evenly distributed competency based questions. “The paper pattern of CBSE Exams is effectively changing towards quizzing a child’s ability to understand and implement the learning in day to day situations. That is perhaps why many students are not sure if they have applied the right concept or not to the question asked,” explained Ms. Supriya, a Physics Teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience.
Detailed exam analysis and review of the Class 12 Physics exam would be updated in a little while from now. Answer Key and question papers will be available after the end of the board examination.
