CBSE Board Exams 2025: 6 Things to Check on CBSE Admit Cards

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE will soon release the admit cards for the upcoming CBSE Board Exams 2025 for classes 10 and 12. The admit cards or hall tickets are made available to the registered schools, who in turn are required to download the same and distribute it to the students. As per the information available, CBSE is likely to release the admit cards soon now.

Admit cards are mandatory for students. Irrespective of the situation, a child without the admit card is not allowed to enter the examination hall. Furthermore, damaged or irregular admit card can also be grounds for refusing entry to the students. It is hence extremely important to check the CBSE Admit Cards and ensure that they have all the requisite information.

The admit cards have the CBSE Roll Number along with information like the subjects opted for, the date sheet for the selected examination, school code, examination centre, authorisation signatures and personal information of the student. It is an official document and is required to be kept safe till the release of CBSE results for the board exams.

Furthermore, CBSE Roll Number for private students appearing for improvement or supplementary examination does not change. The admit card, however, would be issued afresh and would have different information.

CBSE Board Exams 2025: 6 Things You Should Check on Your CBSE Admit Card

  1. Accuracy of personal information provided: This is extremely important, especially in regards the name and parent/guardian name. Information provided on admit card would be made available on every future document issued by CBSE. In case of any discrepancy, the same must be flagged immediately and corrected to avoid future concerns.
  2. Subject Code and dates: Every student’s admit card also carries the subjects opted for by the student along with the subject code. Parents and students must check the same and ensure that the subjects opted are the same as printed on the admit card. Remember, students are permitted to enter the examination hall on only the dates/ subjects mentioned on the individual admit card. No student is allowed to appear for an exam if the same is not mentioned on the admit card issued by CBSE.
  3. Signature of the Principal, Parent: Admit cards issued by CBSE must be signed by the Principal of the school as well as the parent and the student. The admit cards without the signature of either the parent or the student are not considered valid. Students are hence advised to ensure that the document is signed properly before they receive the same. For private candidates, no signature is required of the school principal. Students are required to download the hall tickets from the official website cbse.gov.in – once released.
  4. CBSE Roll Number, Examination Centre and Code: CBSE Admit Card has the information regarding the student’s board roll number (this is not the same as the school’s roll number), the examination centre and code. This is important information for the students as the same would be relevant for further communication with the board.
  5. Examination Timing: The admit card also mentions the timing for each examination. While most of the exams are in the morning shift and begin at 10:30 am, it is still advisable to carefully go through the time as mentioned in the admit card.
  6. General Instructions: CBSE Admit Cards also come with basic instructions in regards the Class 10, 12 board examination rules and ethics. Students and parents must go through the instructions as mentioned on the admit card to understand the rules and code of conduct of the examination.

CBSE Class 10, 12 Board Examination admit cards will be released soon now. Students and parents are advised to stay in touch with the school for the same. As for the private candidates, the notice will be provided on the official website as well as on this page along with direct link to download.

CBSE Board Exams 2025 begins from February 15, 2025 and ends on April 4, 2025. CBSE Results will be declared in the month of May this year.
