CBSE Board Exams 2026 Admit Cards Release Date and other Pre-exam Schedule for 10th 12th exams

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Board Exams 2026 are just two months away. As the board gets ready to conduct the Class 10, 12 examinations, the schools are in the middle of conducting pre-boards and internal/ practical examinations. The CBSE Board Exams 2026 admit cards will also be released by the board.

Nearly 40 lakh students are expected to appear for the CBSE 10th 12th Board Examinations scheduled for February – April 2026. This year, CBSE will also be conducting a second board examination for students of Class 10. The second examination will be conducted in the month of May.

With the countdown beginning, here is a quick look at the pre-exam activities and schedule as well as what students/ parents can expect.

CBSE Board Exams 2026 Admit Card and other Important Activities

  1. CBSE will release the admit card after January 15 on the designated portals of Pariksha Sangam.
  2. Schools will be required to download, print and sign the admit cards before sharing it with the students
  3. Practical and internal examinations for Class 12 and 10th students, respectively, will be conducted from January 1, 2026 onwards. These have already started for the winter zone schools. During the practical examinations – the schools will only share the CBSE roll numbers with students.
  4. For CBSE private candidates, the Admit Cards will be released online on the official website cbse.gov.in. Candidates are required to download and print the admit cards themselves – no signature from their schools is required for private candidates.

Please remember, CBSE does not reach out to students or release the admit card for regular candidates on public access portals. The admit cards or roll numbers are shared directly with the school through school access portals.

Also, students must ensure that the admit cards are properly signed by the Principal of their schools. Admit cards without signature are not valid. Also, students are also required to sign the admit cards themselves.
