Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Result 2025 will be released for Class 10 and 12 board examinations. Various news publications are citing how the results will be released soon. Some are even claiming that the board had released its result ‘earlier than scheduled’ last year. But how much of it is true? Is CBSE Result 2025 releasing in April or in May? And what is the expected date?
CBSE Result 2025: What is happening at present
Let’s try and understand what is happening at CBSE at present. From the last update, the evaluation process for a few subjects was still underway as on April 18, 2025. This includes some of the main examination for Class 12 as well.
As for Class 10, the evaluation process is complete, and result has already been compiled and sent to CBSE.
Apart from this, the board had given registered schools the window to make any corrections, if there, in the particulars of the students who appeared for 10th 12th exams this year. The window to make the corrections closed on April 17, 2025.
Reportedly quite a few number of schools had requested the central board to make changed in the student particulars. As a one time thing, the board had allowed the changes to be made. These changes will now be used for the documentation, including the result or marksheet of the student.
When Will CBSE Release the Results?
The answer to that question is one of the best kept secrets by the board. Officials have strict instructions not to divulge any information in regards the possible date.
Furthermore, while the board usually shared a tentative date of May 15 for declaration of result last year, it has not done so this year. There was no mention of tentative result release date give by CBSE for the board examinations.
Any date shared by media houses, at this point of time is pure conjecture. At best, only a tentative estimate date or range of date can be given for the board result.
While it is likely that CBSE Class 10 Result may be released early, the board has not given any indication. As for Class 12 board examination, the result is unlikely to be released before second week of May.
It is important to remember that NEET 2025 Exam is scheduled for May 4. With the high stake examination scheduled soon, the board is not likely to release the result before the same. Even though NEET is conducted by NTA, the massive number of students who appear for the examination – even from CBSE and other state boards, makes all boards to be mindful of students’ well being.
Then when will CBSE Result release? If one has to guess, CBSE Results (provided Class 10 results are not released before Class 12 results this year) are most likely to be released between May 5 and May 8. Chances of results being delayed beyond May 10 this year are slim. Parents and students are advised to keep a check on the official website cbse.gov.in for latest information regarding the same.
