How to Apply
This year, the board has changed the process for result revaluation. The revised steps are explained below for quick understanding. Please remember, the steps given are to be followed in chronological order. In case the first step is not done, students are not eligible for the second step either.
-
Request for Photocopy
- In this, students/ parents can request for the photocopy of their answer sheets. CBSE provides a digital photocopy of the answer sheets which can be viewed online.
- To do the same, student will need to register online on the portal (to be launched by CBSE) when it opens.
- Students can choose to view as many of their answer sheets as they wish – a fee per answer sheet is applicable
- On the portal, student will have to register using their CBSE Roll Number and select the answer sheets of the subjects they wish to view. Once done, pay the applicable fees online.
- CBSE will then release the photocopy in 3 to 4 working days.
-
Apply for Verification of Marks, Revaluation of Answers
- Verification of Marks
- Students can select the subjects they want their marks to be verified for – this is for the complete answer sheet.
- In this, CBSE will check for totalling error in the answer sheet and in case any answer was left un-checked. Students can choose all 5 (or 6 subjects) for verification of marks and pay the fee.
- Re-evaluation of Answers
- This process is not for the entire paper but rather is question specific
- Students need to go through their answer sheets and check the numbers awarded. If they feel a question has been given less than adequate marks or if a question has been marked incorrect but is in fact correct, they can mark that question number to be re-evaluated.
- Students need to specify the subject and the question number. Again, student can choose as many answers as he/she wishes.
- Fees is payable on the basis of total questions/answers asked to be revaluated.
- An examiner will go through the answer given by the student again and make the changes, if necessary.
- Verification of Marks
CBSE 10th 12th Revaluation Results
After verification/ revaluation, CBSE will release the results again for the students. This will be done in batches and not on a single day. It is important to note that there may either be a change or not. In case there is no change in result, no further activity is required. However, if the result changes (marks increase or decrease) after revaluation, here is what parents need to do
- Submit the CBSE Marksheet cum Passing Certificate to the respective zonal offices – this has to be either hand delivered or sent vide speed post. Address will be provided on the registered email address
- Once CBSE receives the original marksheet cum passing certificate, it will then re-issue the revised marksheet cum passing certificate
Please note, revised marksheet cum passing certificates will be issued instantly on DigiLocker after release of results. Students can download and print the digital copies and submit the same for their college admissions. The printed copy by the board, however, will only be issued upon submission of the prior one.
