Common University Entrance Test Under-graduate, CUET UG 2026 will be conducted by National Testing Agency, NTA in the month of May 2026. Ahead of the commencement of registration process, NTA has released an important advisory for all the students. The instructions hint at possibility of Aadhaar Id being mandatory for the examination.
The advisory released on nta.ac.in has asked students to get their Aadhaar card, UDID Card (for persons with disability) and Category certificate updated. Students are requested to get these updated before the registration process for CUET UG examination begins. Also, it is likely that the registration process will begin in February 2026.
Details to be Updated
Candidates should update the following details in the given documents
- Aadhaar Card
- Correct Name
- Date of birth – as per Class 10 Passing certificate
- Latest Photograph
- Address
- Father’s Name
- UDID Card (for Person’s with Disability)
- Validity of the certificate
- Updated and renewed as required
- Category Certificate
- Ensure category certificate (EWS/ SC/ ST/ OBC – NCL) is updated and valid
Aadhaar Card Mandatory for CUET UG?
While there is no official notification yet, it may be pointed out that NTA has made Aadhaar mandatory for JEE Main 2026 registration. The online application requires the information to tally with the aadhaar details.
Students applying for the engineering entrance examination were not able to proceed without validating the details as per Aadhaar. It is hence important to get the certificates updated.
