Delhi woke up to a chilly morning and severe AQI levels. The stable weather conditions have worsened the pollution levels in the capital region, pushing Delhi’s AQI to Severe Category on Saturday. In many parts, an AQI of over 480 was recorded on Saturday evening, prompting the initiation of GRAP IV Measures. Under these, Delhi Schools will be closed for offline classes as well.
Delhi School Holidays
As per the GRAP IV Measures, the schools are required to push the classes from offline to online mode. Especially for primary and secondary schools, the schools will be shut down. As for the exams or pre-boards of students, they are expected to continue as per the schedule.
Parents and students are advised to wait for the official notice from their respective schools. The official notice on closure of schools and holiday has not been issued by the Directorate of Education, DoE Delhi as yet. The notice is expected to be released by today evening.

What else is closed/ restricted under GRAP IV
Under GRAP IV Measures, the following restrictions come into effect
- Ban of all diesel vehicles into the city (medium and heavy goods vehicle) except for those carrying essential goods
- Only BS III Petrol and BSIV Diesel vehicles allowed to operate
- Non-essential inter state diesel buses that are not BS VI, electric or CNG
- Government offices to implement a mandatory 50% Work from Home
- Private offices also recommended to shift to 50% capacity and move to hybrid mode
All are advised to keep a check on the announcement of school closure in Delhi NCR. Apart from Delhi, AQI levels have also dipped to very poor and severe category in Noida, Faridabad and Gurgaon areas. Information on school holiday is likely to be shared by end of day today.
