JEE Advanced Registration

Once the result is released, qualified candidates are required to register for JEE Advanced 2025 examination. All students must remember that simply qualifying JEE Mains does not make them eligible to appear for the examination.

All eligible and qualified students must register online on jeeadv.ac.in and fill the application form. The registration process will begin from April 23, 2025 on the official website mentioned.

Furthermore, this year, IIT Kanpur will be conducting the examination. Earlier, the institute had suggested that it would expand the admission criteria to provide an additional chance to students who had appeared for their Class 12 board examinations in 2023 as well. This extension, however, was later retracted by the institute.

Pursuant to this, a few students who had been first allowed and then again disallowed to appear in the examination approached the courts. The court then ruled in favour of the students, permitting an additional opportunity to only such students who had registered for the JEE Main exam and left their current studies in hopes of appearing for JEE Advanced. This was done only for a limited window of time.

If a student had not done the representation at that point, he/she is not eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2025. Only those who have cleared their class 12 examination no earlier than 2024 or appeared for the same this year and have qualified the JEE Main 2025 exam are eligible for the exam.

Students who cleared Class 12 in 2023 and have scored well in JEE Main 2025 are still eligible to participate in JoSAA Counselling for admission into the National Institutes of Technology or NITs across the country.
