Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2025 Admit Card for the January session will be released soon on the official website. National Testing Agency, NTA will be conducting the first session of the national level engineering entrance examination from January 22 2025 onwards. The admit card for the same is expected to be released tomorrow – January 17, 2025.
Over 13 lakh candidates have reportedly registered for the JEE Main 2025 examination this year. The exam would be conducted across 2 shifts spread over 5 days this year for B. Tech admissions or Paper 1. NTA would also be conducting Paper 2 (A&B) for admission to architecture and planning courses across the various engineering and architecture colleges in the country. The admit card for Paper 1 scheduled for January 22 is likely to be released tomorrow on jeemain.nta.nic.in while the others would follow on a day’s interval.
It may be noted that in order to improve the security of the examination, NTA now releases the admit cards in batches, as per the date of the examination assigned to candidates. These admit cards or hall tickets are then released about 5 days before the scheduled examination.
To assist the students, NTA releases the exam city slip and date early. This document helps the candidate make any travel arrangements required in time. The date of the exam assigned to the candidate is mentioned in the exam city slip (the same are now available on jeemain.nta.nic.in link provided here).

Important Instructions Regarding JEE Admit Card for Students Appearing for JEE Main 2025
- Examination centre and reporting time along with the shift assigned for the day would be mentioned on the admit card.
- NTA would not be sending personal intimation regarding the release of the admit cards, candidates are required to keep a check for the same on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Candidates must download and print the copy of the admit card released and carry the same to the examination centre – digital copies of admit cards are not allowed
- Instructions regarding the signature on the admit card is provided on the admit card, it is important to carefully go through the same and sign the hall tickets as advised
- Remember to go through the general instructions regarding what is allowed and what is not allowed at the examination centre – remember, candidates can be refused entry if found to be carrying the banned items
- There is a recommended dress code for the examination which is also mentioned in the instructions.
- Check the exam centre and reporting time and if possible try and make the trip to the examination centre ahead of the examination to understand the time it takes to reach there
- Check the details mentioned on the admit card and raise any concerns with NTA in advance to avoid last minute problems
Students and parents are advised to not wait for the last minute to download the admit card. Also, there are multiple pages of the admit cards. Students may download and print all of the pages. Keeping a copy of the admit card is always a good idea.
