Actor Vicky Kaushal latest movie The Immortal Ashwatthama is all set for a release in 2021. This is Vicky Kaushal’s second film with URI director Aditya Dhar.
The Immortal Ashwatthama: As per the reports, the superhero movie, which has its origin story linked to the Mahabharata, will roll out in 2021. Earlies the shooting for the three-part superhero movie The Immortal Ashwatthama was stated to start after Karan Johar’s ambitious Takht. As per the report published in the Mid-Day, the shooting for the movie will start in April 2021.
Pandemic Affect on the The Immortal Ashwatthama
Due the pandemic entire movie industry schedule went haywire. However, as per the director of the superhero movie Aditya Dhar, His project was un affected. As the project was still in pre-production stage when the pandemic hit. The lead actor Vicky Kaushal will need minimum of 3 months to prep for the role in his new Movie and he will get on with the preparations in February 2021. The Superhero movie The Immortal Ashwatthama is scheduled to be shot in a start-to-finish schedule. The schedule is spread across 80 to 90 days. The locations for the shooting are in places such as Greenland, Iceland, Tokyo, New Zealand and Namibia.
However, due to lockdown restrictions in place around the world, Aditya Dhar says that the team will begin shooting in UK and then head off to Iceland. Vicky Kaushal new Movie is based on the superhero action film theme. Set in current day n age is planned as a trilogy. Aditya says that the fate of the third installment of the trilogy will depend on the response of the first two. Though the team has cracked the basic idea for all the three parts, they are concentrating on the first one at the moment.
The director said in a statement to PTI
“The film requires a lot of planning because this is something that has never been done before, it is huge. The work is on in terms of writing,”. Aditya also believes that spectacle films such as ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’ with a touch of Indian mythology must be served more to the audience. “It was high time we brought such stories to the audience, the kind of fantastic stories we have in our mythology. I wonder why nobody made those into films in so many years.
