Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main 2025 January exam applications will close soon. Students interested in appearing for the engineering entrance exam need to register at the earliest. The online application window will close on November 27, 2025 – Thursday.
National Testing Agency, NTA has notified in the circular released on November 20 that last date will not be extended. The agency has also allowed a one-time correction in particulars. For the same, NTA will open the correction window on December 1 and 2.
Students and parents are advised to register and complete the application form at the earliest. No extension will be provided in case of delays caused by technical errors due to last minute rush either. Also, online application is complete only after payment of fees.
JEE Main 2026 Application: Who Should Fill The Application Forms Again
While NTA will open the correction window, there are a few particulars That Cannot be Changed in Application Forms. Accordingly, in case you have made an error in any of these particulars, filling the form again may be advisable. These particulars are:
- Mobile Number
- Email Address
- Address – Permanent and Present
- Emergency Contact Details
- Photograph of the Candidate
NOTE: In case you have added incorrect information in any of the above details, it is advisable to register again using a different mobile number and email address. As candidates will not be allowed to change these even during the correction window.
Also, Examination City Selection and Medium of Examination can be changed based on permanent address and present address details entered. In case you wish to change either of these, you need to register again and fill the fresh application form before window closes.
JEE Main 2026 Corrections Allowed
Only ONE of the Following Fields Can be Changed
- Candidate Name
- Or, Father’s Name
- Or, Mother’s Name
Candidates may be allowed to Change All of the Following Fields
- Class 10th Details
- Class 12th Details
- State Code of Eligibility
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-category/ PwD (if not verified by UDID portal)
- Signature
Apart from these, candidates will be allowed to change their identity details in case they have used any other ID other than Aadhaar. In this case, candidates can add their aadhar details.
Also, candidates can also add ‘Paper’ option – as in if they have applied for only Paper 1 or 2 and wish to add the other, they can do so when the correction window opens.
IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER:
Candidates and parents are advised to remember that it is a one-time correction window. What it means is that once the corrections are made and submitted, they will not be allowed to make any more changes in the application form. The form shall be frozen and students.
Any discrepancy in the application form can lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage of the examination. Even if the candidate clears the examination but the details in application do not match at the time of counselling, the candidature will be cancelled. It is hence extremely important to go through all details entered by students and confirm that there are no errors.
NTA will conduct JEE Main 2026 January session from January 21 to January 30. Exact schedule will be released at a later date. Registrations will open for April session in the end of January and end after January exam results are declared.
