NEET Result 2025: Lower Marks Expected For Higher Ranks
As per estimates, over 23 lakh students have appeared for the NEET 2025 examination this year. Touted as the ‘toughest’ NEET question paper ever, many students are anxious about the result and possible cut off.
Experts have highlighted possible four errors in the question paper, which will be raised once the objection window opens. Barring that, most of the experts are of the opinion that the marks will see a possible variation and dip this year.

Notably, last year, as many as 100 students had scored 715 and above out of 720 in the NEET examination. The disproportionately large number of students scoring high marks had raised questions over the possibility of a paper leak. These claims, however, were dismissed by NTA and Supreme Court.
The difficulty level of this year’s NEET examination is being seen as an aftermath of last year’s debacle. While no reports of a possible 720 on 720 have been received as yet, experts in conversation have suggested that marks of 680 – 720 may see ranks of 1 to 5000 in NEET Result this year. More clarity on ranks vis a vis marks will be available only after NTA releases its answer key.
