Raj Kundra Arrest Details: Prominent Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty’s husband and businessman Raj Kundra got arrested on Monday night by the Mumbai Police’s crime branch. His arrest came in a case related to the creation of pornographic films and publishing them through apps. One of the officials revealed that Raj Kundra appeared to be the key conspirator and that they had “sufficient evidence” against him to arrest.
Poonam Pandey connection to Raj Kundra’s arrest?
Exotic model and actress Poonam Pandey had a contract with Raj Kundra’s firm Armsprime Media. She has claimed that Raj Kundra’s firm Armsprime Media is using her content even after the contract was terminated. Raj Kundra’s firm Armsprime Media, was responsible for the background work of the adult app. Poonam Pandey was one of the consumers. When Poonam’s contact with the Armsprime Media ended 8 months ago, the actress claimed that eh firm is still using her content or her movies and footage indiscriminately. Thus in 2020, Poonam Pandey filed a complaint in the Bombay High Court against Raj Kundra and his associates in Armsprime Media. Pandey had alleged that Kundra and his associates have been illegally using content featuring her even after a contract was terminated.
How it all started?
Businessmen Raj Kundra, 2019 invested in a startup Armsprime Media, the firm used to make apps for the celebrities and Models. Some of these models are Gehna Vashishta & Sherlyn Chopra. Armsprime Media signed Poonam Pandey as a client allegedly for Rs 60 lakh. As per Poonam Pandey, she terminated her contract after a month because of payment issues. Whereas, as per the Armsprime Media, they terminated the contract with Poonam Pandey, as the content was too bold. The app got banned from Google Play Store as well. After getting banned on Google play store, Armsprime Media developed another app Hotshots. This app Bold Photos and videos of Indian models like Gehna Vashishta.
Earlier this year Raj Kundra said he has sold his shares of the company to the Founders of the company. When Mumbai Police raided a bungalow in Madh area, Malad (West) earlier this year and arrested five accused of their alleged involvement in luring young women and men on the pretext of offering roles into web series and short films. They allegedly forced them to act in a pornographic film instead.
Raj Kundra’s name again popped up as an investor in Armsprime Media. Kundra was called by the property cell and he reached the office at 8 pm on July 19. Raj Kundra was arrested after questioning.
